Letters From the Editor

Dear Editor:
I became familiar with Going Organic Guide while celebrating my birthday at the Palm Greens Cafe with my friend. The magazine layout is great, and I savored every article! Scott Cole’s life changing article on Tai Chi was really of interest to me, and I appreciated his inclusion of exercises that I’m now adding daily. You have introduced me to “going green” and businesses locally selling organic products.

Please continue your format and you will retain this loyal and avid fan!
—Louise Maddy, Palm Springs

Dear Going Organic,
I found the latest edition of the magazine to be beautiful, informative, and interesting. The ads are great, the article about Marilu was fascinating, as well as the others on Grieving and Xylitol, and I could go on and on!

With deep respect and appreciation,
—Vicki

To the editors of “Going Organic,”
I recently read an article in your summer 2012 edition written by Scott Cole, titled, “Wake up to Wellness: Moving through Grief.” As someone who has recently lost both parents in the last two years, and younger brother in 1998, I could relate to a lot of what Mr. Cole was saying in his article. Not knowing much about Tai Chi, and being a Psychologist, I hadn’t really explored the option of movement in working through grief issues. I also have a mild lung condition which prevents me from doing “hard core” movements and workouts but I could and did, the three movements Scott demonstrated and explained. They actually helped in terms of making me aware of some of the tightness and “heaviness” in my body. I have been using these techniques frequently and want to thank Scott and the staff for sharing this info. Hope more is to come!

Sincerely,
—John Tromblee, Los Angeles, CA

Dear Like-Minded People:
Just read the “Okra & Eggplant” article… SUPER! As a foodie, I love the exotic and unusual versions that delight palate AND the plate! They are wonderfully stimulating, and I find I’m inspired to buy something that looks attractive and inviting even if I have no idea what to do with it.

Thanks for such a great article,
—Michelle Globis, Palm Springs

Dear Editor:
My friends and I loved your story on Marilu Henner. What a surprise! We all went to get her book together. Now we are meeting once a week to work together on the exercises and share experience. It is a great book club activity.

Thanks for telling us about it,
—DW and friends, Palm Desert
